We haven't had a whole lot to talk about over the past few days, and for that, we apologize. With the football team taking the week off, and the beginning of the basketball season still over a month away, things are a little slow around here. However, we're digging up some good stories and fun things to talk about over the coming days, and we hope you'll all stick for them. For now, let's dig into a new week of UK news, views, and links for you to check out.
The basketball program had in-home visits with Stacey Poole and Brandon Knight, two of the top recruits for the 2010 class, and both visits reportedly went well. Both are scheduled to attend the UK-Louisville football game on Saturday too. If Cal was to land both of these players, he could very well be putting together another stellar class just one year after assembling one of the best classes of all time. So much for slowing down. Chris Dortch of Blue Ribbon talks with Larry Vaught about the perception of Coach Cal.
The football program also had a bit of recruiting news, as they have landed a 2 star juco safety, Josh Gibbs. Meanwhile, the football team continues to prepare for Louisville which will battle it out on Saturday at noon eastern. The game will be televised by ESPNU. We'll be breaking down the game all week long, and will share our predictions before gameday. Kentucky is an 11 point favorite over the dirty birds according to the Vegas experts.
