On the heels of Kentucky's razor thin victory over Miami on Monday, several other top 25 teams followed suit by barely winning on Tuesday against their unranked opponents. It just goes to show you that the top teams wear a target on their back in November and December, and every team is trying to shock the world with an upset. You have to come ready to play every game, no matter how much you might be favored to win. Here's a glance at the other top 25 teams that managed to dodge the upset bullet yesterday...
#1 Kansas 57
Memphis 55
Note: Memphis missed a three at the buzzer that would have won the game.
#2 Michigan State 75
Gonzaga 71
Gonzaga 71
Note: The Zags outplayed MSU for most of the game, but similar to UK, the Spartans found a way to win the game in the end.
#13 UConn 76
Hofstra 67
Hofstra 67
Note: UConn was down 9 points with 9 minutes to go before rallying for the win.
#17 Oklahoma 72
Louisiana-Monroe 61
Note: The Sooners were trailing in the second half before a spurt finally put them ahead to stay.

#20 Georgetown 46
Temple 45

Note: The Hoyas blew a 12 point lead and barely escaped with the win.
As any of these teams will tell you, a win is a win, but let's hope Kentucky doesn't have to dodge another "upset bullet" any time soon. Kentucky has two more tests this week with Sam Houston State and Rider, both teams probably on the same level as Miami, if not better.
I don't think SHS is better than Miami, but Rider could be.
