Today in Sports History...

On December 9, 1961, Wilt Chamberlain scored 67 points in a NBA game in New York. Is there any chance one of our players blows up for that kinda' game in NYC tonight? Probably not. If Jodie Meeks were still around, maybe, but we don't have a pure scorer like that on our team, and that's not a bad thing. As good as Wall and Patterson are, we'll do good to see them break 30 because of how many people we get involved in the offense and how unselfish they are sharing the ball with their teammates.

Again, that's a good thing, but watching a player blow up for a ton of points is alot of fun too. Maybe we'll have one game where someone just has an out of mind and body experience like Jodie did at Tennessee last year, but I sorta' doubt it. Anyway, I'd rather be ranked in the top 5 and be undefeated than I had see a player score tons of points in an otherwise disappointing season. With that said, lets enjoy Jodie's dominance one more time...

  1. What would this year's team be like if Meeks had stayed? Too much talent, or pure domination?
