Got something to say?!

When we started this blog, we wanted to have interaction with our readers. By providing polls, comment sections, Facebook pages, and an open email address (bigbluenation@wk.net), we think we've done a pretty good job of opening up the lines of communications around here, if we do say so ourselves.

However, I've decided to add a new wrinkle to the process. Beginning tonight, all comments will require some sort of login before they'll be posted on the page. There will still be plenty of ways you can do this, with six different ways to login still available, including Google. By making this change, we'll be able to keep better track of who is saying what, and gives a better chance to build a better sense of community around here.

We hope that if you have something to say, you'll still feel free to share your two cents in the comments section, post on the Facebook wall or send us an email! We want to hear from you!

I thought you wanted a comments section. This is more like, if you don't like what i say, you want to know who said it. "A sense of community", what's that even mean? You didn't like one of my comments so you take it down and start a login. Not cool. If you want to have a comments section then let people comment. even if it's a different opinion than yours or hers. if not, this site won't grow, it will be just you 7 to 8 people talking and no other views will be allowed

  2. Your post was removed because a.) Fancy is a girl and we don't want her crying on our shoulders because a mean ole boy said something a little rude in the comments section and b.) we've introduced a new policy today for the reasons stated in the original post above. This isn't something that we decided on a whim, but something that has been in the works for a long time.

As for the readership on this site, its far more than 7 or 8, and everyone's view is allowed... but logins are now required.

Thanks for the feedback BLD. We hope to see you around here more often.

  3. One more thing...

to be honest, I should have left the post on there, but I was just looking out for fancy's well-being. Her being a girl and all, I wasn't sure how she'd take such harsh criticism.

But you're right... it should have stayed up there. Sorry about that.
