Looking Back at My Predictions

One thing I hate about watching the talking heads of ESPN (among other media members) is that they make bold predictions and statements, only to contradict themselves or change their mind when the winds change. We strive to be better than that around here. I thought I would take a look back at my predictions before the season started. Here is the link: NostradAustinimus

I was way off on the blocked shots. I said we would lead the country, and we are a disgraceful 7th in this category: Link It is amazing how one monster shot blocker can impact this category. It is also amazing that South Carolina is ahead of us in this stat.

Here are the team statistics for the season thus far: Team Stats I was way off on what the team would average per game. I said 84, and we are currently averaging 82.2.

I am staying firm on the Krebs Effect theory. That is going to catch on any time now... Anyway, take a look and see what you think. I said then that Cousins would be the second leading scorer and outshine the projections of that time (at that time he was #17, and he has moved to #8). I am ready to say he is going to pass up Wall as the teams leading scorer, although, I hope I am wrong about that. I would like to see Cousins average continue its rise, but I hope we find balance with Wall and Patterson getting theirs as well. Would be great if all three were getting close to 20 a game around March.

Anyway, let me know what you think in the comments section.

  1. Those were solid predictions. I really thought you were off on the Cousins thing, because I thought it would take longer for him to reach domination mode. I was wrong.
