It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday...

As you all know by now, Patrick Patterson will be recognized on Sunday's Senior Day ceremony at Rupp Arena. His three seasons at Kentucky have been a blur, two of which no one wants to remember because of the overall missed potential of the team and the moron that was calling the shots.

However, during this season, we've seen Patrick Patterson do his thing on a winning team and under the direction of a great coach, and its been a blast to watch. That has especially been true in the past few games, where Patrick has really been re-asserting himself as the team leader and a true "go-to-guy" down the stretch. We'll certainly need more of that in the SEC and NCAA tournaments, and we hope Patrick gets that magical post-season run that he so deeply desires; so much so, that he rejected millions of dollars in last year's NBA draft just to return and make one more run with Cal.

I'm sad to see him go, but we certainly wish him the best at the next level. It's so hard to say goodbye to yesterday.

  1. I guess you didn't hear his interview after the game where he said he wasn't sure if he was going to pertake in Senior Day or not, he wants to make his decision on coming back based on if we win a National Title. Talked about how Hansborough did that too.

  2. Anything that combines Boys II Men with one of my favorite Cats players ever is a winner.

To respond to Brad maybe we should change the song to End of the Road. Because although we've come to it, we can't let go. And maybe Patterson can't either, unless he pulls off his dream of an NCAA title
