UK Hoops rewarded for historic season. . .

Matthew Mitchell and his UK Hoops team took home some big time awards this week, solidifying what has already been an historic season in Lexington. Mitchell won SEC Coach of the year after going 23-6, just a year after his team finished 16-16. The Lady Cats were predicted by most to finish near the bottom of the SEC, instead they finished second in the East behind only the Lady Vols with a conference record of 11-5.

Mitchell wasn't the only Cat taking home hardware as Victoria Dunlap was named SEC POY and A'Dia Mathesis was named SEC Freshman of the Year and made second team honors. BBNR wishes Coach Mitchell and his team the best of luck in March!
