Cal expects Enes Kanter to play...

Kentucky has officially received Kanter's LOI, so Mike DeCourcy addresses the Enes Kanter situation in his latest article today. I believe that Kentucky fans should take a fresh dose of optimism from the article, so its worth the read.

Sure, the kid has some questions that remain to be answered, and DeCourcy addresses those, but at the end of the day, Calipari offered the kid a scholarship because he can play, and Cal expects him to be cleared by the NCAA to do so.

As for the talking heads (like ESPN's Doug Gotlieb) that says there's a real chance he won't play or will only play 10 to 15 games, Cal isn't worried about them or their misinformation...

"You can't have a contract before 18. You can't be professional — you're not allowed to be unless they're violating FIBA rules," Calipari said. "We know that, as in any other club, he received apparel. But there was no money, from what we're seeing, what the kid is saying and the family, and what Nike is saying. There's a lot of misinformation out there. You've got people talking about it that don't know, just heard a rumor."

Read the entire article to see what Cal thinks Kanter can do and what he expects from his style of play next season.
