Rumor has it that the NCAA has agreed to a 14-year contract with CBS and Turner Sports for the television rights for an expanded NCAA men's basketball tournament that will begin in 2011, USA Today reported Thursday. The cost is about $80 million per season. A press conference is scheduled for this afternoon.
The field will expand to 68 teams next season, and not the originally expected 96 team field, which is good news.
We'll have more on the specifics later.
