Getting to know Marcus Thornton...

Rumor has it that Cal is after Marcus Thornton from Georgia, a power forward who originally committed to Clemson but has since changed his mind since ole' Purnell skipped town. It's funny that this kid is only a 3-star recruit right now, because the footage I've seen looks pretty impressive.

At the same time, I think its good that Calipari is making an effort to bring in some raw talent with potential, just as he's already done with Poole. These are the type of guys that will play three or four years and help to bring some stability to the one and doners that everyone has been so critical about here lately. (I didn't see anyone complaining when we were winning 35 games in the regular season, but only now that they're moving on... but I'll save that rant for another post.)
