Monday is here again... yay

Gomez here...

It's Monday, and we're thrilled. Can't you feel our overwhelming excitement?

Most of us are still wiping the weekend out of our eyes and trying to struggle through another day of work or school (or in my case, laziness), but no matter how you cut it, Monday's generally suck. Still we're going to put our best foot forward here and see what we can do with this day.

:: As for true headlines, there ain't much to speak of besides what we've already talked about. To recap on recruiting, everyone is still waiting to see where Jones and Leslie will end up, and to be honest, we have no idea. These two have been all over the place in recent days, and we're not sure what to believe anymore. Someone close to the recruiting world told Michael that there's a good chance Leslie ends up at NC State and that Jones will come to Kentucky, but like we said before, its anybody's guess. For example, UK's latest recruit, Doron Lamb told the Zag Man that he expects both CJ Leslie and Terrence Jones to follow him to UK. Remember, that's his guess... not ours.

:: Florida had a rare, but brief, ray of sunshine this weekend when Rutgers guard Mike Rosario committed Sunday morning to coach Billy Donovan after taking his first official visit since getting released from Rutgers last week. “I’m a Gator. I committed this morning probably around 11:30 or 12," Rosario told reporters. “I signed already.” Congrats to Billy Donovan and thank you for reminding us that even a blind squirrel finds an acorn occasionally.

:: Saturday, April 24 is the deadline to declare for the NBA draft. We probably shouldn't be surprised that Patterson's press conference is coming when it is, and we also shouldn't be surprised when he says he'll be moving on to the NBA as he thanks everyone in Kentucky for three awesome seasons in Lexington.

:: Matt Jones is reporting that the new Louisville arena will be called The KFC Yum! Center, which if true will go down as one of the worst names ever for a new arena of any kind. Just goes to show you that you can't always sale your name to the highest bidder and expect it to work out well.

Guys, that's going to have to do it. I'll try to chime in later with some more stuff.

So stay tuned.

  1. While I dislike Louisville. I gotta say don't say anything bad about KFC, I mean they invented the famous bowl and the Double Down. It doesn't even have bread on it! and is a sandwich!!!
