UK announced today that Coach Strickland has been reassigned to an administrative position within the program.
Coach Cal says this is a voluntary move and was based on the travel requirements for assistant coaches. Cal went on to say that Coach Strickland was a vital part in building the base to move the program forward.
I think the timing of this is fairly odd considering the Payne rumors this week and the recent legal troubles with Strickland. Either way, UK says the search to replace him is already underway and we'll probably know very soon who it will be.
