Former Cats off to good NBA start...

All five of UK's first round picks have made their NBA debut in the Summer League. Four of them have had very good starts. After a slow start Wall finished with 24 points and 8 turnovers in a win over Golden State on Sunday. As I write this Wall and Bledsoe are facing each other in late action on NBA TV. At the half Wall has 15 points and Bledsoe 14 for the Clippers in his first game. Cousins had 14 points and 10 boards in his debut earlier today.

Patterson had a strong debut this past weekend scoring 18 in his first game. Some in the Lone Star State were so impressed that they have already pegged him as the answer for Houston's frontcourt.

Matter of fact, the only Cat with a bad start to their NBA career, albeit it is only the summer league, was Daniel Orton. Daniel averaged just over 3 points a game in the Orlando summer league and was even ejected from his debut game. To be fair, most saw Orton as a "project" and he was drafted on potential, not his immediate impact.

All in all, the rookies have made Big Blue Nation proud and it's going to be exciting watching these kids progress in the league.
