Pitino takes the stand...

Louisville basketball coach Rick Pitino has arrived at federal court for the extortion trial of a woman with whom he had a sexual fling. Pitino walked through the front door of U.S. District Court in Louisville about 11 a.m. this morning, the third day of the trial of Karen Cunagin Sypher.

Pitino is expected to soon take the stand against Sypher, a Louisville woman accused of trying to extort millions from him inexchange for keeping silent about their sexual encounter. Pitino has said he and Sypher had consensual sex at a restaurant table.

Years later, Sypher called it rape, an allegation dismissed by prosecutors and police. Sypher has pleaded not guilty.
