After a rough couple of days on the stand, Rick Pitino has finished testifying in the case of Karen Sypher, the chick who demanded millions from him after they had sex in a restaurant booth.
According to reports out of Louisville today, Pitino said he didn't immediately report threatening phone calls because he didn't want his family to find out. The embattled coach said that he kept quiet to "contain" the details of the sexual tryst from embarrassing his family.
Apparently, today, Pitino and the attorney for Karen Sypher had multiple heated exchanges during more than two hours of questioning. Yesterday, Pitino admitted on the stand the two had sex in a restaurant booth but denied that it was rape, as Sypher alleges.
During questioning about the rape allegation, Pitino interrupted defense lawyer James Earhart saying he's "here to give the truth." Earhart replied: "I bet you are."
