Last night's biting picture of Duke hatred was so popular, I decided to post another one of my favorite anti-Duke pictures tonight. Again, it doesn't have anything to do with tonight's final post of the day, but as you will find out the more you read this site, everyday is a good day to hate on Duke. Now, on to the headlines...
Well, today was a somewhat eventful day, much of what has already been covered by previous posts. The ESPN schedule release was probably the biggest topic of discussion around most water coolers... I know it was mine. Four of the eight Super Tuesday games (the maximum allowed) will feature Kentucky, the most of all SEC teams. From what I understand from a guy that knows more about it than me (I've never claimed to have a handle on all the TV contracts, especially the latest one with ESPN), that the Tennessee games, one of which is usually on ESPN, might find its way on one of the other ESPN networks, while the other one most likely end up on CBS.
All of this guess work should be resolved after the Kentucky Basketball special revealing the new scheduled is finally aired. According to this guy, it is very close, but there's still no definite word yet. Apparently, Dave "Buzz" Baker will host the special, while radio guys Tom Leach and Mike Pratt will make guest appearances too. Coach Calipari will have a segment where he will comment on the schedule and some of the teams they're playing, which should be the highlight of the show. The details concerning the show and when it will air should be released very soon, and when it does, we'll post them here.
In other news, rumor has it that UK picked up a verbal from a 3 star football recruit from Tennessee, while 2011 basketball recruit Achraf Yacobou will be attending midnight madness. More on these and other recruiting tidbits tomorrow.
Well, that's it for this 17th day of August. To all of Big Blue Nation, good night and good luck.
