Andy Katz has ranked Patrick Patterson as the number 8 player on his list of Wooden hopefuls. I think that's a fair assessment at this point, seeing how Patrick's first two seasons have been somewhat up and down, thanks to Billy Clyde's epic fail. Don't get me wrong, Patrick Patterson has always played hard and done very well, regardless of the team's ultimate outcome in the wins and losses column; but its hard to get real respect when you're on a team that consistently gets upset by sub-par competition. If Kentucky has the kind of season we all expect, Patrick should finally get the national respect that he so clearly deserves.
Also of note, Katz listed John Wall at #14. Not bad for a freshman that's yet to even suit up for his first college basketball game.
