Getting ready for 'Bama...

Our Wildcats played their stiffest competition of the year with only their third game out of the gate. Florida is by leaps and bounds the best team in the country, and UK simply wasn't ready to play in that crucial first quarter. Consider the score after one quarter: 31-0 Florida. The rest of the game, Kentucky was only outscored 10-7, for a final score of 41-7. Had Kentucky played any kind of first quarter, the final score could have been much more respectable.

I hope the team and it's coaches take this into consideration as they prepare for Alabama this weekend. When Kentucky takes the field, they need to know they're more than capable to compete with the likes of Alabama, Tennessee and Florida in the SEC. They need to know that 'Bama is coming into their house and they do not need to give them a welcome gift of silly penalties, questionable play calling, and downright frightened game play. They need to make a statement... early and often.

Come on, boys... jump on this 'Bama team and show them you're for real! Believe.
