The Nation's University beats City College...again.

It wasn't always pretty but the Cats prevailed over the Cards at a packed Commonwealth on Saturday. There are several things that we learned but maybe the most relevant thing is this; the Cats may not be as good as we thought two weeks ago nor are the Cards as bad. The first half played out as most of us would have expected. UK could of easily been up 20-7 had they not gotten screwed by their own time keeper. Still everyone felt generally confident with a ten point lead at the half. The third quarter changed the complexion of the game and maybe the season for some. The Cats were dominated by the under maned Cardinals. They lost time of possession, total yardage, TO deficit and about every other statistical category throughout the 3rd, even the lead. Yet, the Wildcats responded in the 4th quarter that gives me hope for the rest of the season. The Cats responded with two touchdowns in the 4th and some key defensive plays to hold on to a hard fought 31-27 win. Again, it wasn't pretty but in the end it's still a W. Mike and Gomez will be along later to give some of their thoughts on the game, but for now just enjoy the win. The next couple of weeks could be some dark times across the Big Blue Nation.
