Nothing like the big game atmosphere of the Cancun Challenge live on CBS Sports Channel against Cleveland State... I bet Calipari is pissed we are in this venue.. Probably telling recuits... hey, we will be in Maui next year.. Sloppy start to this game

ReplyDeleteTick Tack first foul on Cousins... Hope he isn't getting that kind of reputation.. Could be a long season for him.. Great rebounding from Patterson.. I hope the faster pace of play isn't going to lead to Pat having troubles at the foul line all year.. Hopefully as we get in better shape it won't be as much of an issue... Cousins is the only one that really worries me from the line at this point...

ReplyDeleteIt won't be too long before Cousins gets an even cheaper third foul from a technical.. HE is always animated after the foul call... He is too good be getting these cheap fouls...
ReplyDeleteGood to see Orton get an easy bucket early... I think CBS hired Big Blue Sports network's production crew to take care of this for them.. The coverage is pretty bad.
Still no Liggins or Dodson so far.

ReplyDeleteWe are committing terrible fouls and still look careless with the ball... Not coming up with loose balls and rebounds.. This is as ugly as we have looked all year, but Cleveland state is a big part of that.
ReplyDeleteOrton is a one man transition Defense.. HE has bailed our team out several times this season with blocked shots with the other team having numbers..
ReplyDeleteWe have at least played solid Defense.. We just haven't gotten to the point where we can put it together for a full game, but if you are able to get down and guard somebody you can weather the storm when the offense isn't clicking

ReplyDeleteREally good start for the game for Orton... He may end up playing more minutes that Cousins with the foul trouble Cousins has been getting in. Gotta make the free throws tho
ReplyDeleteThis game is watching a middle school girls game with dunks and without the jump balls...seriously no flow...the refs are terrible and we are turning the ball over way way way too much...good to the see the bench stepping up a little
ReplyDeleteHopefully our pg's are starting to realize this isn't high school anymore...they are being so careless with the ball and this team isn't that bad...we have 13 turnovers!!! 13!! By the way that's in the first half! We are not prepared for a great team yet...We can't continue to try to play to our opponents stature...every team has to be UNC and Louisville.

ReplyDeleteI'd like to see us finish a game strong...it seems like we make that big run that puts us up huge then slack off the last seven or so minutes and allows the other team to creep back in enough to make it look like it was a competitive game...wow talk about a UK fan huh...can't be happy with ten point wins haha
