The Rhythmic Styles of Barry Booker roll on...

We are big fans of Barry Booker around here. There was nothing better than watching a UK SEC contest while good ole' Barry was offering his two cents from the sideline. Of course, we liked him for all the wrong reasons, a gulity pleasure of his poor attempts at humor and whit with his, ummm, let's call it "unique" sounding voice.

However, when the SEC Network moved over to ESPN control, we were afraid Booker would be lost in the transition. But I was pleasantly surprised to hear Barry's rhythmic sounds coming over my dad's television set tonight when we turned on the Murray State - Eastern Kentucky game on ESPNU.

It was nice seeing two Kentucky schools getting some love on ESPN, and the game was fun to watch, especially with Barry using lines from Jimmy Valvano's famous speech as he called the game. As for the game itself, Murray State was outplayed by EKU for the most of it, but a late run by the Racers allowed them to escape with a two point win... giving Barry an opportunity to say "Don't give up... don't ever give up."

That's right Barry. We never gave up on you, and now you're back to grace us with your second to none talent. Keep up the good work.
