- I want to first congratulate Alabama for winning the BCS National Championship. They represented the SEC well and brought home the fourth straight SEC championship. How can anyone argue that SEC isn’t the toughest conference in the land?
-I’m going to be at the UK vs. Auburn game at Auburn. My sister is a freshman at Auburn and my family is going down for a visit and to catch the game. My sister is going to be sitting in the Auburn student section wearing UK and cheering for UK. So look for UK blue in their student section as my family represents!
-Check out this video of the now infamous "Cousins elbow". The under the basket view was very misleading; he never hit him with an elbow and barely got him with the arm: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=P4K5b0vPhzg
-Elizabeth (N.J.) St. Patrick junior wing Michael Gilchrist injured his right knee during Tuesday night’s 62-46 victory over Union and was taken to the emergency room. Gilchrist took a pass and cut to the basket and then his knee collided with that of a defender, sources said. He went to the ER but it seems to be a minor injury and will only miss a few weeks.
-C.J Leslie and Quincy Miller and in state freshman star Darryl Hicks are expecting to be at Rupp for the Georgia game tomorrow. They are playing in the Dunkin Doughnuts Shootout at Lexington Catholic. If a few Eruption Zone chants went out for them it wouldn’t be the worst thing… Leslie is also considering N.C. State, Florida, UCONN, and Oregon.
-As for tomorrow's game, Georgia is coming off a big win against their rival, #17 Georgia Tech. I expect a UK win by around 10-15. It will be important for Cousins and Orton to stay out of foul trouble because their best player is their sophomore center Thompkins. Cousins and Orton can hold their own against him, but if they happen to both be out of the game, he could cause some fits down low.
- Cal is taking the team to go watch Word of God play. This is where Leslie plays and this is Wall’s former team. I hope they cheer loud every time Leslie does anything good; show Leslie the love!
-Larry Vaught has gone on record to believing UK will run the table in the SEC. I have a hard time believing this. They should win the SEC but it is hard in basketball to do this. Some team will play over their head for one game nailing everything they throw up or Cousins and Orton get in foul trouble and the defense plays zone and we can’t hit our outside shots. I think some people forget how close we were to losing several games. It’s not impossible to go undefeated but still not very likely.
In my opinion, with Tennessee's recent troubles, the toughest SEC games are now as follows: At Florida and Ole Miss. During the Pre-Season, Tennessee, South Carolina and Mississippi State were my three biggest worries, but all three have taken hits with important players being out.
-Former UK walk-on Landon Slone is going to play for Pikeville. He tried to get back on at UK but Cal wasn't interested.
-Other games to watch Saturday (besides UK, of course):
#4 Purdue vs #20 Wisconsin
#5 Duke vs. #17 Georgia Tech
#13 UCONN vs. #12 Georgetown
#16 Ole Miss. Vs Miss. St.
Florida vs. Vandy
South Carolina vs. Auburn
Alabama vs. LSU.

One correction: Quincy Miller will be playing at Lexington Christian tonight at 7:30 against Mtn State. Both teams boast quite a few high Div I prospects. Also the Central Bank Classic will be at LCA tomorrow starting at 6PM. Scott Co vs. Male, LCA vs. Clark Co, then Findlay Prep (defending high school national champions) vs. Mtn State Academy. Quincy Miller and his teammates will be attending the UK game tomorrow afternoon.

Is there any update on Gilchrist's injury? Also, is Kentucky still the most likely destination for him in two years?
