:: Congrats to Bama and their national championship last night, just confirming what everyone should already know... SEC is the best when it comes to college football. Anyone willing to debate against this truth only reveals their overall lack of knowledge.
:: As rumored earlier this week, Matt Jones is reporting that Joker Phillips might have let go Offensive Line Coach Jimmy Heggins and Defensive Line Coach Rick Petri yesterday. This hasn't been confirmed, so take it for what it's worth.

:: Have you stopped and just thought of how good DeMarcus Cousins really is? The kid is averaging 15.4 points and 9.6 rebounds in only 20.1 minutes a game. If he could stay out of foul trouble and keep his emotions in check, those minutes might increase, and so would his numbers. At any rate, (almost) averaging a double-double for one half of basketball is pretty impressive. Luke Winn at SI says that he might be the best rebounder in all of D1 basketball.
:: It is sad that Carlisle County's Caleb Hardy doesn't get more state-wide press. The kid scored 45 points and grabbed 20 rebounds the other night against Reidland, and he didn't even make the front page of the local paper (The Paducah Sun) much less garner attention from around the state as a whole. Caleb is only averaging 30.2 points (#2 in KY) and 13.4 rebounds (#1 in KY) a game. He's had a few college offers, and more people are finally taking notice. Someone is going to get a steal with this kid. We salute Caleb for his tremendous talent and wish him and the Comets the best of luck.
:: The Wildcat finally return to action on Saturday, and Larry Vaught echoes our thoughts that the Georgia game might not be the cakewalk that some are expecting.
:: The love for John Wall is universal and from coast to coast. For example, from far away places like Seattle and Washington DC and everywhere in between, people love to talk about John Wall's profound awesomeness. Plus, check out this cool graphic...
:: If you go outside in Kentucky today, you might want to ride a taun-taun, but be careful... it will most likely freeze before you reach the first marker. . .
