We had some NBA draft buzz a little earlier today, just thought I'd add to that a little bit. According to NBAdraft.net, UK has two of the fastest rising stocks in the country in Bledsoe and Cousins. The Alabama duo are both listed here in NBAdraft.net's stock report. Stock rising?
When I look around the college landscape, I don't see one player that I would trade for any of our top three. Wall is at the top of any heap, but I can't find one player in the country that would force me to trade either Patterson or Cousins. Evan Turner is up there on that list, but Patterson and Cousins form the most dominant front-court in the country and cause match up nightmares for anybody... Even some NBA teams.
If that wasn't enough, Bledsoe is starting to be touted as the second best point guard prospect in the college game. There are a few guards I might pick ahead Bledsoe, but not many. On top of that we have another future NBA lottery pick in Daniel Orton coming off a beast like performance against Florida, as well as several other 4 star players in Miller, Dodson and Liggins. It is an embarassment of riches, but one I am happy to have.

I wonder if Bledsoe will finally start making some of the mock drafts. Selfishly, I hope not, because something tells me that if there's even a slim hope of being drafted, he could go, whether he's actually ready or not.
ReplyDeleteI think Bledsoe will be here next year, but that game at Florida turned some heads. He just seems to be a little inconsistent right now and I don't think he is ready yet. But yes, his stock is certainly on the rise.
ReplyDeleteI think if we win it all Bledsoe will be have an opportunity to go pro and be a first round pick. I think pro teams want him to go back to school for a second year, but who knows if Bledsoe wouldn't jump at the first opportunity? I think he would be taken in the 15-25 range this year, and have a great chance to be a lottery pick next year.
ReplyDeleteHE isn't ready to run the show just yet, but he is a great enough athlete and far enough along with his skills for a team to take a chance on him.
