UK Fan in Gator-Land

It was a normal start to the day for this UK fan... he got up, took off his UK PJs, put on his faded UK ball shorts and went for his morning run. After getting back, he walked into his UK decorated bathroom and took a shower. But the main difference for him than most other UK fans, he was in Gator-land, and he would be soon seeing another intense basketball game brought on by Coach Cal's Cats.

I'm not going to lie; I was the visiting team fan that you do not want to sit by. I jumped up and yelled every time we hit a 3 or threw one down, and I would clap when a bad call (or missed call) went in our favor. I absolutely loved every minute of the game, even when we let them back into it after being up 15 points. I knew that our players had come with the determination to win during this game. Players like Eric Bledsoe, who played an outstanding game (I even had one fan ask me if he was John Wall because he thought Wall was 11). And players like Daniel Orton who had those 3 blocks on that one scoring drive, which I was absolutely going nuts about, even though that play ended with them hitting a bullcrap 3. But the damage had already been done, Daniel had got in their heads, basically saying "This is my paint, stay out!"

I was extremely excited to see the number of UK fans there, but what excited me even more was to see the high number of the Gator Faithless filing out of the O-Dome with 3 minutes left to go, and they were only down by 10. What a joke.

Anyway, tune in again on March 3rd, when you will see my next installment of "UK Fan In...", when I travel to Athens to watch Kentucky battle the Bulldogs of Georgia!

  1. Good stuff Dana. Since they won we'll let you go to Georgia.

Of course if they lose at Auburn this weekend it'll be because you weren't there.

  2. Awesome that you were there for the game, Dana! That's two road games that we've had some of our own at this year (Austin and Zack were at the Indiana game) and Micah is going to be at the Auburn game this weekend. Glad to see BBNR representing! We've had someone at every game except for the Georgia, North Carolina and Louisville games!
