Tomorrow, Kentucky opens up SEC play with Georgia, and everyone is excited, even Ashley Judd. Numerous sources have said Ms. Judd will be in attendance to see Cal's first SEC game as head coach of Kentucky. Woot woot!
The SEC network will be covering the affair and broadcasters Eric Collins and Mark Gottfried will be doing the commentating from the sideline. Again, please be sure to check your local listings to see which of your local affiliates will be carrying the game. I know on the far western end of the state, WPSD TV (Paducah) has mixed things up a bit because of the NFL playoffs. Some people down there won't even get to see the game which has ruffled a few feathers. At any rate, do your homework before game time (3 PM CST) or you might miss the beginning of the game.
What can we expect tomorrow? Well, that's the question of the night and not one easily answered. Before this week, most everyone thought Kentucky would blow out Georgia by a wide margin, and while that remains a possibility, its not as certain after Georgia upset #17 Georgia Tech earlier this week. The Bulldogs proved they could beat a more talented team when they're playing well and properly motivated, and they'll be riding this new found confidence into Rupp Arena tomorrow. With that said, I still expect a double digit victory when all is said and done.
The Bulldogs are led by junior forward Trey Thompkins, who averages 16.2 points and 8 rebounds a game. The full Bulldog roster and stats are listed below.

Trey Thompkins F 16.2 8.0 1.4

This is bad. I was afraid of this...
ReplyDeleteMidge here....
ReplyDeleteAfraid of what Mike? We will still win by at least 10, I'm not worried at all. We haven't played 2 bad half's all year; we'll come out like a bunch of crazed dogs in the second half and grab a 6 or 7 pt lead before the first tv timeout. Calmdown scared thing.....scared to death.
Peace out.
Midge here-
ReplyDeleteSo we didn't grab a 6 or 7 pt lead, still not worried we are the more talented team and we will prevail. We have picked up the intensity this half. Georgia isn't as bad as everyone thought, we'll still win by 10.
later
So far, we haven't been able to play the kind of heart and passion that we've played with in other big games. I hope we find a way to tap into that before too long. Georgia is the weakest team in the SEC, so this effort really bothers me.
ReplyDeleteChill out this is Georgia's national championship.....survive and advance my friend.
ReplyDeleteMidge-
Here we go....let the rout begin.
ReplyDeleteMidge-
Got to get Patterson more involved.....when Bledsoe hits one three give the the ball, he is very very very streaky.
ReplyDeleteMidge-
Bulldogs still hanging around. How do we continue to let them get the ball down low every time?
ReplyDeleteI tell ya the Bulldogs aren't that bad. With that said, I'm very disappointed we are down 2 with 8 min. left. But Mr. Wall will NOT let us lose. Sure this isn't a very impressive showing, but we got to be ahead at least 1 when the clock shows double zero's.
ReplyDeleteMidge-
The refs are horrible.
ReplyDeleteWe'll still get it done dude.
ReplyDeletemidge-
Throw it out....Cousins.
ReplyDeletemidge-
When he gets the ball he has one thing on his mind....score, you gotta throw it out when your triple teamed!!!!!!!
ReplyDeletemidge-
This will be a different team next week against Florida on national TV. Don't be worried KY fans, we'll be ready to play at Florida....John Wall will shite.
ReplyDeletemidge-
shine...sorry.
ReplyDeletemidge-
Yeah, Cousins has to learn to give up the ball. He's a black hole down there.
ReplyDeleteBoy I tell ya what when the season first started I had my doubts about big Cuz, but he's really the heart and soul of this team. Great hustle play.
ReplyDeletemidge-
SURVIVE AND ADVANCE BOYS!!!!!
ReplyDeleteMIDGE-
16-0, THIS IS THE MOST IMPORTANT NUMBER AT THE END OF THE DAY!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteSTILL UNDEFEATED!!!!!
