Gomez here...Jennifer Hudson is ready for her "One Shining Moment." The Grammy and Oscar winner will perform the song that plays each year at the end of the CBS broadcast of the NCAA men's basketball championship game.
"The song inspires you," Hudson said in a release. "It moves you. It motivates you and helps you reach that goal and that dream."
Hudson is blazing into new territory, as she will be the first woman to sing it for CBS. Teddy Pendergrass and Luther Vandross have both recorded other versions that have been used in the past.
We can only hope that Jennifer will be singing the classic song as our boys are cutting down the nets in Indy. That would be epic.
