Senior Spotlight: Ramon Harris

Ramon Harris was snatched out of Sarah Palin country by former coach, Tubby Smith. Similar to fellow senior, Perry Stevenson, Ramon's career has had it's ups and downs. Last year, Ramon was a starter, this year, a role player off the bench. However, Ramon isn't complaining; he's thankful...

"That is why I tell myself that every day I should enjoy the blessings that I have. I can get up and go to school and go to class, even hang out with my teammates. Pretty soon, all of this is coming to an end. Hard work pays off. It's not easy going through three coaches, but I learned something from each coach I played for. It's something I can use after my college career."

Despite playing fewer minutes, Ramon is still a solid contributer to a team that is 28-2 and posed for a #1 seed. Cal has said that Harris will continue to get opportunities to play because of his energy, defense, and on court leadership. With a team full of youth, Ramon is a veteran that can offer support in key situations.

We wish Harris the best in his future and look forward to seeing what challenges he takes on after leaving Kentucky.
