Anyone that has seen Brandon Knight during his high school days surely noticed his signature dreads, or corn rows, or whatever those crazy kids are calling it these days. His previous look resembled a cross between Predator and whatever they called the aliens from James Cameron's blockbuster Avatar. I didn't really care too much what his hair styling choices were, just as long as he lived up to his billing as one of the best point guards in the country.
More interesting than the haircut itself is the reasoning given for it. In this article from the Miami Herald, Knight's mom explains the new look was designed to help make her son more marketable... You can take from that what you will, but it would seem to support an argument that Knight will be another one of Cal's one and done guys.
Most UK fans had hoped Knight's excellent academic pedigree could lead to two years of his service's. With the NBA lockout looming, it is an extremely fluid situation. I take this as just another example that Knight is a very intelligent young man. He is keeping as many options open as possible, and who can blame him? Just as he declined to sign the one sided Letter of Intent, he is now changing his hair cut in an attempt to open the maximum number of doors
