It's been widely rumored that Payne would join Cal in Lexington if and when there was an opening, but until now there hasn't been one. With only a few days remaining in the spring signing period it's still anyone's guess what Jones will do. His mother says he's committed to signing a LOI and still says it's UW or UK. However, Jerry Myer from Rivals.com is reporting that Eloy Vargas will be on campus this weekend in Lexington. Vargas was ranked 26th in the 2008 class and played his freshman year in Florida before transfering to Miami-Dade junior college where he absolutely killed it. He would be a great get for Cal especially if Jones sticks with UW...
