Cal impressed with early practices...

UK gets ten practices before their trip to Canada in a couple of weeks. So far, the Kentucky coach has been well pleased with what he's seen with his latest crop of NBA ready talent.

Coach Calipari said that he was pleasantly suprised to see how skilled Stacey Poole was and the high athleticism of new point guard, Brandon Knight. Meanwhile, the coach was equally impressed with Enes Kanter and Doran Lamb.

One player that might take longer to impress his new coach will be Terrence Jones. Calipari said that while Terrence Jones will undoubtedly be a playmaker, he is still battling an ankle injury and is not 100%. Cal says Jones is going to treatment three to four times a day because he definitely wants to be on the court when the Cats go to Canada.

We're just a couple of weeks away from these rare summer games, and it sounds like we're in for a treat when the second edition of Cal's Cats finally take the floor.
