In case you haven't heard yet, yesterday there was as announcement that 2011's #1 player Anthony Davis has already decided on a college destination. However, he won't officially announce for a couple more weeks, leaving us plenty of time to speculate.
Since the news broke almost immediately following his unofficial visit to UK, there seems to be a general consensus that he'll eventually become a Wildcat. He also recently visited DePaul and Ohio State, and also lists Syracuse as a favorite. Still, like I said, most believe he's heading to Kentucky.
Its actually pretty awesome that news like this has become less and less earth shattering over the past couple of years. Thanks to Coach Cal, we've gone from hoping and praying for this kind of news to just plain expecting it. With that said, if Davis does attend Kentucky, we shouldn't underestimate the impact that he could have on our program.
