Easiest Jobs in NFL

I've came up with just a few jobs that barring injury could possibly be the easiest jobs in the NFL and maybe sports all together. Please feel free to add to this list. I chose just NFL guys but you are welcome to open this up to all sports.

#1 Jim Sorgi (QB, Colts)

This is a no brainer as the 6 year veteran out of the University of Wisconsin is the back up for probably the best QB of my generation Peyton Manning. You've probably never heard his name unless it was attatched to some sort of list similar to this one. In six seasons Sorgi has compiled these career totals:

PA/COMP YARDS TD INT RATING
99/156 929 6 1 89.9

#2 Kevin O'Connell (QB, Patriots)

Hang with me here because this is just a hard one for me to discuss for a lot of reasons. O'Connell (a Knoxville, TN native..boooo) is entering his 3rd year in the league out of San Diego St. He is of course the back up for Tom Brady and the scandalous Patriots (which for the record I put in the same category as the Yankees, Cubs, Lakers, and Dirty Ville Birds, hate may not be strong enough.) Brady of course is coming off a year on the couch with a knee injury so it's possible with the Patriots dealing Cassell for a hand full of pocket lint that O'Connell could see the field, but only following disaster. O'Connell's career numbers aren't too far off mine:

PA/COMP YARDS TD INT RATING
4/6 23 0 0 73.6

#3 Andre Woodson (QB, Giants)

Yes sadly two Manning's will make my list, but with the younger Manning just signing a 6 year nearly $100M deal it's safe to say he's not going anywhere soon. Woodson the UK alum, is entering his 2nd year of his professional career as the 3rd string QB behind Manning and David Carr. He is currently in competition with rookie Rhett Bomar out of Sam Houston St. Woodson did not take a snap during the regular season last year. I really think over time Woodson has the mecahnics and work ethic to stay in the league but only time will tell. Lucky for him he currently holds a job so easy that Jared Lorenzon can do it.

Again everyone feel free to add to the list and dispute mine. Be creative.

  1. How about Troy Glaus for the St. Louis Cardinals. He's making about $12 million this season to ride the pine. He is reporting to Triple A this weekend, but with the pick up of DeRosa, he probably won't get much playing time in the big this year, even if he feels good and plays well in the coming weeks. Pretty easy way to pocket 12 million.

  2. Sticking with the Manning theme.

Frank Reich, QB coach for the Colts. You know he has an easy job.
