Gameday to Rupp!

ESPN will make what promises to be an eventful and possibly nasty continuation of the Coach Cal / and (insert your own Bruce Pearl Joke here) rivalry front and center for the whole nation to see. On February 13th, ESPN's Gameday will stroll into Rupp Arena for what has to be a top five game for both teams. It is no secret that these coaches have an unpleasant history dating back to recruting battles and game date scheduling, so it should be interesting to hear them dance awkwardly around potentionally controversial questions that you know the media will be sure to ask. The rivalry between these teams has definately just intensified with Cal's move from Memphis to Kentucky. Having attended Gameday at Rupp a few years back when North Carolina came to town, I can attest to the different atmosphere. It's just one big, media-fest party, with the loudest, proudest, and most diehard basketball fans yelling things that usually have no coherent value, but it sure is fun!

I can only hope that ESPN falters in judgement that day and has Forde somewhere right in the middle of the set. UK fans will not disappoint, I hope, in hair jokes and voicing their displeasures in his unbiased reporting (moron...cough cough..). I love how Gameday measures the decibles of each location to see how loud each fan base can be. They should consider bringing a meter to measure just how red Forde's face will be of embarassment and anger. Someone call Pitino in the morning and have him roll over and hand Forde the phone. We should give him some sort of warning of the wrath of BIG BLUE NATION!
