This year's season has been a roller coaster ride from the beginning. Just in the SEC, we've recently enjoyed the highs of beating Auburn on the road, only to slide back down the tracks with a home loss to Mississippi State. As it stands, Kentucky is 4-4 (1-4 in the SEC) heading into this weekend's games against EKU. This weekend is a must win for UK. Period.
Eastern is 5-3 (5-2 in the OVC) and playing well, most notably, their running game. However, they will be outmatched by Kentucky, and the Cats should win their school record 18th consecutive non-conference game. For more information about this week's UK football game, visit the scouting report here.
Sadly, Kentucky continues to fight injuries and sickness. Locke will join Lindley and Hartline as major players on the sideline. Meanwhile, the flu bug continues to make the rounds in the UK locker room, as well. Tom Leach thinks the season is far from lost, and a big bowl invite could still happen; however, if this is going to be the case, our Cats have to get healthy.
Here's hoping for a speedy recovery and a big win this weekend.
GO BIG BLUE!

I'll be at the game on Saturday, hope they can get it turned around this weekend.
ReplyDeleteWith the beginning of basketball season, and after the painful loss to MSU, it will be hard not to switch gears to BBall and forget about football. But we can't do that, guys! We still have a good shot at another great finish for gridiron heroes!
ReplyDeleteI am not giving up on the football team, but I have certainly switched gears.
