Louisiana Tech football coach Derek Dooley, son of legendary coach Vince Dooley, has been hired as Tennessee's new coach, sources close to the situation told ESPN on Friday.
Apparently, Dooley was their 57th choice, after their 56th choice, Billy Bob Jenkins of Clarksville, TN (pictured above) turned down the Vols when Wal-Mart counter-offered with a 50 cent raise to continue pushing carts for the store. Neither Dooley or Jenkins (or the 56 others that turned down the job) were available for comment.

Congratulations on the raise Billy Bob.
ReplyDeleteSeriously, the UT job just isn't what it used to be. I think this is going to set UT back another three or four years. Never should of ran fat Phil off. He was orange to the bone, you cannot hire anyone who loved UT more.
ReplyDeleteFor all of those guys who say UT Football is on par with UK Basketball your argument just took a hit.
