Gomez here...Remember Marcus Thorton? Well, if ya dont', I'll remind you; he's the kid that originally committed to play at Clemson but changed his mind after their coach left. Anyway, rumor had it that there was mutual interest between him and Coach Cal, but since then, things have supposedly gone south. And that sucks because with three big men heading to the NBA draft, and with the Terrence Jones situation still up in the air, we really need a power forward to sign on asap.
Reports all over the internet from TBK to KSR to Sea of Blue all say that Thorton will end up at either Georgia or Georgia Tech, and not Kentucky. I guess the kid wants to stay closer to home.
Geez... where have we heard that before?
