Meeks Moving?

I'll have to say that I'm not the biggest NBA fan. I'll watch a good match up any night of the week, or if a former Cat is playing, or if Lebron is showing out.  I do, however, think I've missed my second calling (although I'm still trying to figure out what exactly my first is???). A General Manager. I mean let's be realistic, I can beef up a roster in 30 minutes on any sports video game. Okay, so that's not realistic and these are actual people you are dealing with, but you know what I mean.

Unless you've been under a rock, and haven't tuned in to any sports coverage, you know that the NBA trade deadline is today at 3:00 PM EST.

With that said, there's a rumor floating around that our favorite player to ever drop 54 points and 10 threes on the UT Smoke and Totes could be on the move. Of course, rumors fly like bacon on a stick at the state fair this time of year, but its still worth a look on an otherwise slow day: Here is the rumor.

Personally, I like the fit in Milwaukee, but I know Meeks will excel wherever he goes in the future.

UPDATE: The deal went through. Here is some of the speculation from earlier that states that the Sixers liked Meeks a lot on draft day and thought about taking him with their first rounder. Glad that he is coveted by the 76ers and isn't just a throw in. Meeks

  1. Gomez here...

I agree, JBru. Meeks will do fine with what ever team he ends up with. To quote the Old Man from A Christmas Story...

    "Oh, he's a deadeye, ain't he?"

  2. I think Meeks will end up being a journey man in the NBA. Hopefully he'll end up being a solid role player for good play off team eventually. I hope he proves me wrong, but I just don't ever see him being a starter in the league.

  3. Agree JD, he should have stayed with us one more year, won a national championship, and he might have been a lottery pick(getn' that big signing bonus) with a stellar year.....but oh well; he has to live with that decision and possible consequences.
